I am a native English speaker.

I studied Spanish for 5 years. I didn’t use it very seriously during college, but when I traveled to Spain I got to use it a bit (after 4 years of disuse). I picked it back up pretty quickly, but was disappointed in my inability to conjugate future/past/conditionally.

I started learning French after I got home from Europe. I’d say I’ m doing pretty well.

I want to dabble in Portuguese and Russian once I have a very solid base in French. I’m leaning towards Russian more right now because I want to be able to at least pronounce the words written in the Cyrillic alphabet. The next language will probably end up being Russian just for the novelty and the experience of learning a non-romance language.
